We call this part of the Georgian Trail the supper highway of train track tales. The track is smooth, well marked and flat, even for train track standards.
The trail is hard to find in Collingwood. It starts about 1km south of the grain elevators at the public boat launch. Many people park in the Canadian Tire parking lot and start the trail close to the bridge we have noted. Note: There are many trails in this area and you could end up doing a roundabout trail like we did. Follow the signs closely in Thornbuy as the trail does wind through the town.
